We have a number of open water and assistant diving assistant instructors to run diver training courses in house. We are therefore able to run a wide variety of training, skill development courses and help develop divers rom within the club. Go here to learn about the courses we can run.
Most people have had an experience of SCUBA diving usually on a holiday trip abroad. Whether or not you've tried it we can arrange a Try Dive for you in our pool, in a safe environment with an instructor, to see if this sport for you.
Just contact us or pop in on a Thursday evening to arrange it. Do contact us prior to coming so we can make sure we give you a proper iDive welcome.
A Try Dive session will usually involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in a swimming pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor to make sure you get maximum enjoyment from your first scuba dive. We will need to know your shoe size and shirt or dress size so we can make sure we provide appropriate equipment that will fit.
Try dives cost £20.00 per person for an experience that you will not forget. Once you've had a go you can take the next step which is to sign up for our Ocean Diver Course. If you decide that this is not for you then that's fine too.
I’m alread qualified…
Great – you’ve come to the right place – you can continue your scuba adventure with iDive! As a qualified diver it’s easy to start diving with our club. We recognise other agency qualifications (PADI, SSI, SAA, ScotSAC, NAUI etc) and you do not need to get additional training. Go here to find out more about other agency qualifications.
Skill Development Courses (SDCs)
For members who want to go beyond diver training we run a number of BSAC skill development courses (SDC's) in house or can point you to regional training courses depending on the number of members who are interested in developing a particular skill/interest.
